About Ryan

Meet Ryan

Hello, I am Ryan Jones an avid outdoorsman, and not your average therapist.

  • How did you get in the field? Years ago I thought I was going to be a firefighter and while going through EMT school, I signed up to volunteer at a bunch of places and ended up getting a job at a treatment center for youth serving court ordered commitments. I absolutely loved it and I changed my college path towards psychology over 15-years-ago.
  • What type of clients have you worked with? I've got to work with so many awesome people over the years and seen them overcome very challenging moments in their lives. I've been able to work with individuals and families overcoming struggles with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, personality disorders, self-harming behaviors, intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder and a multitude of other challenges.
  • Have you done any other types of work outside of psychology? Yes, I've worked in the energy industry, started several companies and worked a variety of jobs to put myself through college. I've worked my way from entry level jobs to running my own company. The variety of experience has helped me gain perspective from many different levels of career development and how to make strategic steps towards goals.
  • Tell me about yourself? I grew up a small town farm kid in Fruita, CO, I still wear boots most days, enjoy manual labor/working with my hands, love most outdoor activities from hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, dirt bikes and street bikes. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy pushing myself to try new jobs or skills. I never thought I would have become a therapist when I was younger, but it has been one of the most fulfilling careers I have ever had. I really enjoy working with people who are different than me as I get to learn from my clients as well. I can appreciate and work well with those who grew up vastly different. I am Christian and I respect others views on religion/spirituality. I'm open-minded and truly want the best for people. Time in this life is very precious and my goal is to help people find value and enjoyment in their lives.

Find The Missing Piece

People often think the missing piece to their happiness is outside of them.  When you do the mental work you start to find that we are so much more capable of deciding and impacting how we feel. Are you ready to take back control?

Where Time Should Be Spent

This is different for everyone but doing things you love, and spending time with those who are important to you are keys to a fulfilled life. Sometimes the stresses of life pull us further and further away and we have to fight our way back.
